e-Node Indicator LED OFF or SOLID RED?
Important Topics that should be considered follow below:
- e-Node Indicator Light is OFF.
If the e-Node's LED indicator is off, this suggests a few possible issues. One--power to the e-Node might not be present. Check the power supply feeding the e-Node (if it is not receiving power from POE). Check the screw down terminals on the two-pin power supply terminal if the power supply tests out good, but no power is getting to the e-node. If the e-Node is hooked-up to a POE switch, check the POE settings at the POE Switch and perhaps change POE ports.
- e-Node Indicator light is SOLID on Red.
This typically means that during a firmware update there was corruption in the data received. If the e-Node remains in this state (even though it was working before the firmware update), no communication with the unit is possible and therefore until the situation is resolved, no further troubleshooting steps should be pursued. In this case, refer to this document to resolve this issue. (This document relates to all e-Nodes.)
