Intelligent Networkable AC Motor Controller w/ three channel dry contact inputs

 

The Intelligent Motor Controller IMC100s™ is a state-of-the art bi-directional communication AC motor controller designed to control motors such as those used in projection screens, drapery or curtain applications. The device’s incredibly small size enables it to be easily mounted within a standard J-Box or within a screen, drapery or curtain head rail or shroud. A built-in microprocessor allows individual addressability as well as more sophisticated triggering and sequencing of any number of additionally linked controllers from simple switches, screen trigger inputs, home automation systems or even over the Internet using IP (Internet Protocol). The IMC100s implements communication standards adopted by the computer industry (rather than proprietary standards) that allows for up to 1 million distinct IMC100s controllers to be interconnected and controlled from virtually any distance (up to 4000 feet) using an inexpensive, low-voltage communication bus (using standard CAT5 or CAT3 wiring)!

 

Easy J-Box Installation

Miniature programmable controller integrated wall plate assembly can be easily installed within a projection screen housing, single gang J-BOX or a drapery assembly to control the operation of connected motor. No special electrical housings required.

 

Bi-Directional Communication Bus

Multiple controllers can be remotely positioned and controlled individually, as a group, or for more sophisticated designs can be sequenced with intelligent triggering, lockouts, and priority signaling. Any number of devices can be linked and programmed to respond to up to 8 individual signals or motor associations. Controller can also be controlled within a hierarchical topology using Zone, Group and specific unit (Node) addressability

 

 

Robust Design/Commercial Grade

Up to 65,000 IMC controllers can be individually networked, commissioned, controlled and administered over the CS-Bus backbone system. Typically, up to 255 units can be organized within a single Group, with up to 255 Groups permitted within a single Zone. Finally, up to 255 Zones can be configured within an entire system.

 

Simplified CAT5 wiring

CAT3 or CAT5 wiring with standard crimps forms the backbone of the communication system. Units are can be daisy chained without the need of expensive home run installs of low-voltage and/or high voltage wiring. Nearly unlimited bus lengths supported up to 4000 feet. No additional repeaters necessary.

 

Easy Installation with Home Automation Products

Industry standard RS-232-C interfaces permit easy connection to any third-party automation system (regardless of length away from control system). In addition, Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity is also available.
