    Converging Systems was founded in 1999 by a management team that well possessed a wealth of technology experience. This technology experience plays a part in each product we design and bring to market. Some of these technology assets are listed below:

     

    Hardware Technologies

    Converging Systems’ team members have experience and familiarity with many relevant hardware/processor platforms including DSP, SOC microprocessors, ARMs and and a number of other sophisticated embedded processors. Our team members are certified designers/developers with major third-party platform/component providers. We can have the tools to provide complete turnkey deliverables from initial design to agency certified production quantity products with our own in-house CAD systems for schematic and PCB layout as well as safety and EMI testing.

    Since do not rely on outside software developers, we can optimize our hardware platforms to work most efficiently with our own embedded software and firmware products. In addition, all of our hardware platforms benefit from our own customized on-board diagnostic and remote software diagnostic tools which enables the highest reliability for all Converging Systems’ product offerings.

     

    Software/Firmware Technologies

    Converging Systems’ technical team creates customized software operating systems including multi-threaded operating systems along with embedded and standalone application software to enable unique customer differentiation. Our team has extensive knowledge and experience implementing solutions utilizing various computer language such as Assembler, C and , C++ , as well as MFC, Visual C and Visual Basic , as well as Java with OOP, UML and MFC technologies. HTML scripting and JavaScript, XML, CGI, SSI are utilized for web-aware, diagnostic and application-oriented programming offerings

    In addition, we develop Information Technology (“IT”) applications which run on client-server systems including SQL database and management applications . Software developed by our technical team has been running on embedded, workstation as well as server-oriented products for over twenty-five-years. Precise version control and a coherent software upgrade strategy allow Converging Systems’ products to be upgraded, enhanced and evolved easily in the field.

     

    Connectivity (Wireless and Wired) Technologies

    Having built embedded printer controllers for most of the world's leading printer and copier companies (Minolta, Canon, Ricoh, Xerox, Mitsubishi, Olympus, Shinko ), Converging Systems well understands industry-standard connectivity, including Internet Protocol (IP) as well as other forms of wired and wireless technologies. We build connectivity solutions based on protocols such as TCP/IP , UDP, DHCP, HTTP and HTML. Today a key focus for new engineering revolves around wireless technologies such as RFID, WI-FI and Zigbee as well. Nearly every product that Converging Systems' develops complies with one such connectivity standard.

     

    Agency Certification (Safety and EMI Testing)

    Rather than building products that meet customer expectations and then thinking about third-party agency certifications later, Converging Systems' initially conceives of all products with THE mandatory requirement that ALL products will pass ALL required agency certifications without costly redesigns. We pay particular attention in the design phase to required industry certifications including UL and FCC and CE and maintain UL and ETL site approvals for our manufacturing facilities. To date, we have successfully brought over 100 products through third-party certification without failure.
